Project Role: MES Lead
Role Description: Leading a team of GE Proficy and Aveva PI Historian. Developers to implement and provide operational support for MES solutions using the GE Proficy suite of applications. This role requires expertise in both the functional and technical aspects of manufacturing execution systems, with strong emphasis on the CPG industry.

  • GE Proficy Plant Applications
  • Aveva PI Historian, AF, Vision, ParcView
  • MS SQL (2008-2019 programming and SSRS reports)
  • MES-MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management)
  • IGS OPC DA or Kepware OPC Connectivity Suite
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead MES deployment and operational support for multi-site projects within the CPG industry. You will need a deep understanding of business processes and a strong domain knowledge of this sector.
  • Manage a team responsible for both new MES solution implementations and ongoing operational support for existing systems across multiple sites. This includes handling daily technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and leading small enhancement work to improve system functionality.
  • Prepare effort estimations.
  • Work closely with technical resources to drive and implement solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to your team, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of work.

  • Proven experience with the full lifecycle of GE Proficy Plant Applications MES solutions, including development, testing, implementation, and Hypercare support.
  • Strong knowledge of the GE Proficy Plant Applications software and MES suite (Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Inventory modules), Aveva PI Historian, IGS OPC/Kepware OPC server, and Workflow.
  • Experience in operational support is crucial, including debugging issues, troubleshooting system performance, and resolving user-reported problems.
  • Experience in small enhancement work, such as developing minor new features, modifying existing reports, or integrating new data sources to improve system usability.
  • Experience in interfacing with ERP & Quality systems using middleware technologies like Informatica or SAP PI/PO.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL database, including writing queries and debugging stored procedures.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing SSRS reports.
  • Ability to work with a Technical Architect translate solution architecture into a clear work plan for your team.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on project scope.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
Good to Have Skills
  • Experience with the latest version of Plant Applications.
  • Multiple MES domain knowledge.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
