Your role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack / Backend Java Developer to join our team as a Senior Associate Consultant. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, microservices architecture, and modern frameworks, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and incident management. This role requires hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Must Have:

Technical Development

  • 4-6 years of professional Full-stack / Backend development experience with delivering in cloud infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and the Spring Framework.
  • Integrate and manage data using MongoDB and SolR for search and storage.
  • Build and manage microservices and containerized applications using Docker and Maven.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Jenkins.
  • Design and consume RESTful APIs and serverless functions using AWS Lambda.
  • Write robust unit and integration tests using Junit and Kite.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams using React, Angular, HTML5/CSS, TypeScript, and RxJS.
Analytics, Observability & Deep Debugging
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Analyze system metrics and logs to identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
  • Use data-driven insights to proactively prevent incidents and improve system health.
  • Perform deep debugging of backend systems and APIs.
  • Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide quick resolutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

Incident & Problem Management
  • Own the incident lifecycle: detection, triage, impact assessment, mitigation, and service restoration within SLAs/SLOs .
  • Lead incident bridges with developers, SRE/infra, and vendors (Adobe/AWS); maintain clear stakeholder communications and timelines.
  • Implement hotfixes safely (feature flags, canary, rollback/runbook execution).
  • Reduce MTTR via strong runbooks, escalation paths, and post ‑ incident reviews with actionable learnings.
  • Drive root cause analysis ( RCA ) using 5 ‑ Whys/Ishikawa/fault ‑ tree; propose and implement durable fixes (code/config/infra).
  • Maintain a Known Error Database (KEDB) ; trend incident data to eliminate systemic issues (e.g., cache churn, slow queries, CDN misconfigurations, faulty deploy hooks).

Nice to Have:
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Exposure to Spacy or other NLP/AI libraries.
  • Understanding of secure coding and data protection.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, ELK stack)
  • Experience with container orchestration ( Kubernetes is a plus).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, LAMBDA, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of Source Control ( GIT ), Sniffers ( Charles ) and project Management tools ( Jira/Confluence/TFS ).
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies ( Scrum/Kanban environments) using tools like Jira & Confluence, and DevOps practices.
