What you will do
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, statutory compliance, financial planning, and governance activities for the Romania entity, while working closely with regional and global finance teams across Infosys.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities in accordance with corporate timelines and reporting requirements.
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local accounting standards, and corporate policies.
- Drive annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes for the Romania entity.
- Partner with business leaders and functional stakeholders to provide financial insights supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Romanian fiscal, accounting, statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities when required.
- Manage statutory audits and support internal audit activities, ensuring timely closure of observations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and financial disclosures to maintain strong financial controls and governance.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital performance, and financial risks, escalating potential issues and proposing mitigation actions.
- Support corporate reporting requirements, including management reports, financial reviews, and ad hoc analyses requested by regional and global leadership.
- Act as a key finance contact between the Romania entity and Infosys global finance teams, ensuring alignment with corporate processes, controls, and reporting standards.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement within finance operations.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, or accounting, preferably within a multinational or shared-services environment.
- Strong understanding of Romanian accounting, tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience working with international reporting standards and global finance organizations.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills with strong attention to detail.
- SAP experience is required.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
