Role : SAP SD Consultant - Pharmaceutical Industry (Japanese Speaking)
- Customer: Pharmaceutical Company
- Project Description:
Support and lead SAP S/4HANA SD (Order-to-Cash) implementation and enhancements for pharmaceutical clients. Responsibilities include handling regulated pharma processes such as batch-controlled sales, expiry-based delivery, pricing compliance, and integration with logistics and finance. Requires strong SAP SD expertise, pharmaceutical domain knowledge, and Japanese communication skills to work with business stakeholders and global teams. - Language Skills: Japanese (Business/Fluent) and English (Professional)
- End-to-end SAP SD (Order-to-Cash) process
- Sales Order, Delivery, Billing, Pricing, Returns Management
- Batch Management & Expiry Handling (Pharma Products)
- Government-regulated Pricing & Contract Management
- Integration with MM, FI, WM/EWM, QM
- Interface management (IDOC, EDI) with distributors and pharmacies
- Documentation (Functional Specs, Process Flows, Test Scripts)
- Bilingual communication (Japanese & English)
Main Responsibilities
- Gather and document requirements from Japanese pharmaceutical business users
- Configure SD processes including:
- Sales order processing for regulated pharma products
- Pricing procedures aligned with compliance requirements
- Delivery and shipment based on batch and expiry constraints
- Billing with audit-compliant documentation
- Ensure integration with MM and WM/EWM for:
- Batch determination and inventory tracking
- Expiry and shelf-life management
- Support ATP (Available-to-Promise) considering batch validity and compliance rules
- Manage returns and product recall processes for expired/defective goods
- Handle EDI/IDOC interfaces with wholesalers, distributors, and hospitals
- Conduct workshops, UAT, and training sessions in Japanese
- Support go-live, hypercare, and continuous improvements
- Ensure adherence to GxP compliance and audit requirements
- Strong SAP SD functional expertise with 10+ years experience
- Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical business processes
- Knowledge of batch management, expiry handling, and traceability
- Experience working with Japanese clients/business culture
- Ability to handle end-to-end implementations and support
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Exposure to serialization and track-and-trace systems
- SAP SD certification
- Experience in Japan onsite/offshore projects
- JLPT N2/N1 certification (preferred)
