SR Sourcing Category Manager - MRO/CAPEX

The CapEx Category Manager will drive sourcing of CapEx categories and will be instrumental in category strategy ideation and delivery. It would be desirable for candidates to have a blend of CapEx Category Management coupled with Consulting skillsets to operate most effectively in this position and in the broader Infosys Portland ecosystem. Their ability to foresee problems, mitigate risks, and navigate changing environments are what enables our team to rise to any challenge with ease and confidence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across MRO and services categories.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and finance, to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure long-term value creation.
• Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Manage RFQs, RFPs, and supplier evaluations.

• Anchor the key internal & external governance meetings, focusing on the following areas: savings/productivity, escalation management, change management, and key sourcing projects

• Conduct plant visits for stakeholder connects
• Handle escalations related to key stakeholders, build relations /network within the client organizations & partner to plan for future challenges to ensure strong customer relationships

• Identify & implement transformational opportunities to in line with the client's business objectives

Qualifications Basic:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 9 years of relevant work experience in the job description
• Preferred :
• • Strong category experience in MRO: Industrial Services, Spare Parts, Utilities, Equipment rental, consulting, catering, chemicals, personnel transportation.
  • Be familiar with RFI/RFP/RFQ process, tender Management , and familiar with e-sourcing systems (e.g.: Coupa, Ariba, Xeneta, Bravo).
  • Excellent communication and networking skills - able to effectively manage and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • In a food manufacturing or large engineering / automotive manufacturing organization.
  • Experience of dealing with aggregators is a plus.
  • Must be fluent in the French Canadian Language
