Azure Data Architect (Arquitecto de Datos Azure)
Location: Mexico (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey) - Hybrid as per Infosys Mexico policy (CST/EST time).

Role Overview
As an Azure Data Architect you will be responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost - effective data platforms on Microsoft Azure. This role translates business and analytics requirements into robust data architectures that support reporting, advanced analytics, and AI/ML use cases. The architect defines end - to - end data solutions across data ingestion, integration, storage, processing, and consumption, ensuring alignment with cloud best practices, security standards, and data governance principles. They provide technical leadership, guide engineering teams, and ensure solutions are performant, compliant, and future - ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand requirements and translate business capabilities into software and data solutions.
• Design end-to-end solution architectures for cloud and data platforms.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts, including:
  • Architecture diagrams (Diagram as Code).
  • Design documents and technical specifications.
• Participate in and contribute to architecture review calls.
• Present architecture designs and artifacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure development teams clearly understand the architectural approach and design principles.
• Provide guidance during implementation to ensure adherence to architecture.
• Support deployment of cloud services, identifying risks, dependencies, and operational considerations.
• Develop and demonstrate POCs to evaluate tools, technologies, and architectural patterns.

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of IT experience in data engineering or related technical roles.
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) - strong verbal and written communication.
• Proven experience implementing Azure stack.

• Strong experience with Diagram as Code tools.
• Hands on experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks.
• Proven experience working as a Software / Solution Architect.
• Solid engineering background with C# and/or Data Engineering.
• Ability to build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate architecture and design decisions.
• Good understanding of cloud service deployment and operational nuances.

• Experience designing solutions on Azure Data Platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud native development practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance hands on engineering with high level architectural thinking.

• Ability to work under tight timelines and manage complex requirements.
• Flexible to work during CST/EST time zones and meet for hand-over activities to India team if needed.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
