About the Role

iCapital’s Client Solutions EMEA team is seeking a Vice President (VP) to contribute to the development and execution of iCapital’s international expansion. In this role, you will be a key member of the team and support the business development activities of iCapital with a focus on Wealth Managers based in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (“DACH”). iCapital’s rapid international expansion creates an opportunity for a motivated and energetic professional to join a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment. This position will be based in Zurich.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the Client Solutions EMEA team in executing the business development strategy for iCapital, covering Wealth Managers in DACH, with dedicated focus on Germany.
  • Develop and manage a robust and sustainable pipeline of prospective Wealth Manager clients.
  • Execute Wealth Manager onboarding process from start to finish, working closely with related teams, including Legal & Compliance.
  • Nurture strong relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Educate clients on Private Markets/Alternatives and articulate iCapital’s solutions and capabilities to clients and partners.
  • Provide constant feedback from the field on competitive landscape, investors’ appetite, trends and share with colleagues globally.
  • Build strong internal relationships within iCapital and work closely with other teams (Research & Fund Management, Product Development, Implementation Specialist group, Client Success, Marketing, Legal & Compliance, Technology & Operations, etc.) to achieve the best client outcomes and successful long-term client relationships.
  • Serve as the relationship manager and deliver an exceptional client experience for our Wealth Manager clients (i.e. banks, multi-family office and independent asset managers).

Candidate Profile 

  • Solid academic credentials in relevant field.
  • 10 years of solid work experience in the Asset- or Wealth Management industry, with a demonstrated track record in winning and interacting with clients.
  • Experience as business development professional or similar role in the asset management industry is a must.
  • Very good understanding of the German wealth market and strong network to Wealth Managers in Germany, i.e. to private banks, family offices, independent asset managers and regional banks (Sparkassen / Raiffeisen-Volksbanken).
  • Adequate exposure to Private Equity and/or other Private Markets asset classes, and an understanding of the distribution model is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills, with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Highly collaborative, and able to think strategically about business opportunities and client management.
  • Language skills: Native in German and business proficiency in English is a must.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong appetite to work in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.
