Your role and responsibilities

Your mission as a Technology Sales Specialist is to create demand and progress opportunities to close for your assigned territory, by leading high level strategic conversations and building a trusted relationship where technology is seen as a way to advance your clients business goals. You partner with your clients to co-create platform/brand specific solutions that address their business needs and drive client innovation. You navigate IBM to bring the right subject matter experts and technical resources to drive sales wins.

• Account Planning & Stakeholder Management

• Sales Execution: Owning E2E sales process for assigned products & clients

• Managing for Growth: Elevating the client strategic conversations

Capabilities you will need...

• Understanding of relevant platform/brand products to sell using product demonstrations, storytelling and whiteboarding.

• Understanding of Ecosystem and Partner's footprint and capabilities/competencies within your territory.

• Strong knowledge of pricing /subscription models related to offering and how to create the financial/contract.

• Engage other IBM teams and subject matter experts early in the sales process to accelerate deal progression, customize client experiences, win the deal and grow software consumption.

Required education

Technology Sales Success: Demonstrated success in technology sales, particularly in acquiring new clients.

Business Acumen and Financial Skills: Proven understanding of business drivers and effective communication of financial justification.

Engaging, Compelling, and Influential Communication: Ability to communicate in an engaging, compelling, and influential manner.

Experience with IT automation market technology

Preferred technical and professional experience

Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the automation market, enabling you to consult with clients and build trust (training on IBM's Automation offerings will be provided).

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
