Your role and responsibilities

Technical Account Manager, IBM Corporation, Dallas, TX (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

  • Provide functional and technical leadership in defining and implementing Sterling Solutions.
  • Lead the preparation and planning for clients to deploy or upgrade their Sterling solutions into production environments.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations for deploying Sterling solutions in client environments.
  • Understand client solutions, identify critical business issues in Sterling products, and perform problem analysis using troubleshooting, evaluation, recreation, and resolution techniques for client-reported problems.
  • Provide complex technical and functional support across Sterling product support, DevOps, and engineering teams to resolve and prevent future issues.
  • Define new functionalities and capabilities in Sterling Order Management, Store Engagement, Call Center, and Inventory Visibility to deliver value to users.
  • Understand client environments, identify areas for improvement, and enhance system performance with actionable plans.
  • Analyze client processes and translate business requirements into technical designs using Sterling products.
  • Offer proactive advice and guidance to clients on using Sterling Solutions to achieve business goals quickly and effectively.
  • Utilize: IBM Sterling Order Management, IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising, IBM Sterling Call Center, IBM Sterling Store Engagement, IBM DB2, IBM MQ, New Relic/IBM Instana.

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Technical Account Manager or related.
