Solution Consultant - Procurement Spend Analyst

Your role and responsibilities

As a member of the Procurement Analytics Team, the Procurement Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making, client engagements, supplier negotiations, and business operations. The primary responsibility is to perform data mining, analytics, and reporting on procurement data across all procurement levels globally, as well as for non-procurement functions and external clients. The role also includes maintaining and enhancing legacy data warehouses, supporting the Source-to-Pay data universe on EPM/EDP, managing ETL processes, performing data transformations, developing Machine Learning models, and contributing to the development of advanced business intelligence solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards (using Cognos Analytics) to support procurement decision-making and operations.

• Working with the data engineer team to create and manage data load jobs and ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery for analysis and reporting.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, including procurement teams, external clients, and other functions, to understand reporting requirements and develop tailored solutions.

• Perform data mining and apply advanced analytics techniques to provide actionable insights into procurement processes, supplier performance, and other related areas.

• Support client engagements by developing new reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to meet specific business needs.

• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data used in analytics and reporting processes.

• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the Procurement Data Warehouses and other legacy data structures.

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and report/dashboard development.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Advanced Excel, MS access , SQL
  • College or University Degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, etc.)
  • English language skills written and spoken
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity.
  • Solid understanding of basic statistics and data literacy.
  • Experience with data visualization tool
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality analytics solutions

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to understand client needs and translate them into effective data solutions.

• Experience in Sourcing/ procurement operations

• Data frame manipulation (e.g. Python Pandas or R)

• Programming (ie. javascript, Python)

• DB2

• Distributed computing framework experience (i.e. Spark)
