Introduction
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale SAP programs (e.g. S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Ariba, SuccessFactors, EWM, SAC).
- Own project planning, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and risk & issue management.
- Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks, including steering committees and executive reporting.
- Manage cross-functional delivery teams including SAP functional, technical, data, integration, testing, and change resources.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, executives, vendors, and system integrators.
- Ensure adherence to SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate.
- Drive dependency management across business, technology, and third-party workstreams.
- Oversee testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Proactively manage change, issues, and risks to minimise business disruption.
- Ensure projects comply with organisational, security, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices.
Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex SAP programs and projects across our enterprise and client environments. This role is responsible for end-to-end project governance, stakeholder management, and successful execution of SAP implementations, upgrades, and transformations, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, on budget, and to agreed quality standards.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- 8+ years' experience delivering SAP projects, including at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation.
- Proven experience managing large, complex programs with budgets in the multi-million-dollar range.
- Strong understanding of SAP landscapes and integration points.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives and business leaders.
- Extensive experience managing systems integrators and offshore/onshore delivery models.
- Strong financial management, reporting, and forecasting skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with competing priorities.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Technical & Methodology Experience
- SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC implementations and migrations.
- SAP Activate methodology (preferred).
- Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Data migration, integration (PI/PO, CPI), testing strategies, and cutover planning.
- Project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Strong understanding of SAP security, roles, and compliance impacts (desirable).
