SAP S/4HANA Cloud Finance Engineer

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

1. Functional Configuration & Implementation
Your primary task is to ensure the S/4HANA Finance environment aligns with the company's financial structure.

• Module Setup: Configuring and maintaining the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Assets Accounting (AA)
• Utilizing the SAP Fiori interface and staying within the "Clean Core" strategy.
• Bank Integration: Setting up Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) and automating the reconciliation process.

2. FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management)

• Credit Management: Defining risk classes and credit limits for customers.
• Collections & Dispute Management: Implementing workflows to handle overdue payments and resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently.

3. Business Process Mapping
You act as the translator between the Finance department and the software.

• Requirement Gathering: Leading workshops to understand how the business handles its "Order-to-Cash" (AR) and "Procure-to-Pay" (AP) cycles.
• Fit-to-Standard Analysis: In S/4HANA Public Cloud, you will perform "Fit-to-Standard" workshops to show users how their processes fit into SAP's pre-delivered best practices.

4. Testing & Quality Assurance

• UAT (User Acceptance Testing): Preparing test scripts and guiding business users through testing the system before "Go-Live."
• Regression Testing: Managing the semi-annual SAP Cloud release updates to ensure new features don't break existing configurations.

5. Support & Continuous Improvement

• Post-Go-Live Support: Troubleshooting issues related to payment runs, month-end closing, or data inconsistencies.
• Training: Creating "How-To" documentation and conducting training sessions for end-users on the Fiori launchpad

Required technical and professional expertise

• Years of experience: 1-6
• Module / Sub-module Expertise: Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Bank Statements FSCM General Ledger
• SAP Version: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
• Analyze and resolve customer incidents using SAP Knowledge Base system configurations and debugging when required.
• Collaborate with development teams to report product errors and propose effective resolutions.
• Create and maintain technical knowledge base content tools and customer workarounds.
• Develop supportability and analysis tools to improve customer experience.
• Demonstrate strong diagnostic analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Possess proficiency in Unix or Windows OS and familiarity with ABAP Java or SQL is preferred.
