Product Management Junior
Introduction
The IBM Systems Storage Product Manager is a comprehensive career integrating all Storage capabilities and considering ecosystems, go to market, and enablement requirements for all stages of the offering (design, development, life cycle improvement and end of life). Product Managers are business owners, responsible for setting cross-discipline priorities, leading multi-functional teams, and determining offering revenue models.
As the Product manager, you will take ownership of all offering management related tasks, coordinate cross team dependencies, report frequently to all levels of executive management, work face to face with customers, understand and respond to enhancement requests and constantly look for ways to improve delivery and execution and ensure clients are successful.
Your role and responsibilities
IBM Storage Product Management is looking for a talented product manager to join our Product Management team. We're looking for someone who can build a product strategy and roadmap that increases our overall product market leadership.
You will be part of a team leading the HW & SW product/feature definition, business case development, requirements prioritization, and discussions with development to create and deliver the product roadmap and develop the overall strategy to accelerate business growth. You will also work closely with Product Marketing to develop compelling messaging and content to enable a global sales force and customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of Product Management deliverables for review and approval
- Work with sales and partners to strengthen the Tape offerings.
- Manage offering roadmap and facilitate cross-discipline deployment.
- Develop enablement assets for sales & partners.
- Work with existing Storage customers to gather and validate market requirements, understand pain points, addressing RFEs, and evangelizing the roadmap and vision.

Required technical and professional expertise
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong English language spoken, and written proficiency essential.
- Experience with communicating with a technical audience across multiple channels.
- BA/BS required; MS/MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to research and understand market, technology, business and competitive trends impacting the offering roadmap and ultimately define feature requirements which enable Storage Tape products to drive differentiation and business growth.
- Ability to listen to clients, Business Partners, and other sources of product requirements to understand their needs and translate the defined needs into product capabilities and requirements.
- Experience working closely with cross functional teams such as development and program management.
- Ability to influence strategy, roadmap and revenue with persuasive analysis and presentation of Product/Feature analysis and business cases.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills spanning executives, internal development, cross-functional teams and customer audiences.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office Tools, Requirements Management Tools and other internal IBM resources
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Product Manager/Marketing professional skills with a technical/engineering background
• Experience on and understanding of enterprise IT technologies such as servers, storage, software, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with development and technology customers.
