Your role and responsibilities

About the Job:

The IT Order to Revenue Delivery team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Order to Revenue value stream delivery team, with a dedicated focus on enhancing and optimizing our customer account data capabilities and associated data products. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on optimizing our order management processes and managing critical customer information. You will collaborate with various teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation of systems and processes that enhance efficiency and accuracy in our order management and customer data operations. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging their expertise in industry best practices around customer data and ERP systems within an enterprise environment utilizing Oracle EBS, Snowflake, and Atlan. While the posted location is Cork, Ireland, candidates in North America are also encouraged to apply.

What you will do:

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions, and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
  • Define and document data flows, data transformations, and data integrity rules related to order data and customer information.
  • Develop and support the execution of test plans, test cases, and scenarios to ensure the quality and accuracy of solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, sharing best practices, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a strong focus on order and customer data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business problems into clear and actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and data models.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, SaFE) and agile planning tools such as Jira.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate discussions, negotiate scope, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of customer data management and data governance principles.
  • Experience with the technology industry, and in particular around software subscriptions.
