Internship Data Engineer

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Required technical and professional expertise

Currently studying (or recently graduated) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

• Fluent English
• Good Python skills
• Understanding of data processing, ETL pipelines, and automation
• Familiarity with databases, experience in data cleaning, validation, integration
• Interest in learning large-scale data processing with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Motivation to work with Databricks and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues and propose solutions
• Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Coursework, personal projects, experience working with Databricks and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience in Software Development
• Exposure to or interested in LLM-powered solutions
