Your role and responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Specialist-Cloud Platforms Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technical mentors to support the deployment, management, and optimization of containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift. You will gain hands-on experience in enterprise-level container orchestration, DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and cloud-native development. Your daily tasks may include troubleshooting OpenShift clusters, creating automation scripts, assisting in the configuration of Kubernetes workloads, and participating in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
You will:
Learn and assist in configuring and managing OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
Support the deployment and monitoring of containerized applications.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Document procedures and best practices related to OpenShift administration.

Participate in research and experimentation with emerging OpenShift and cloud-native technologies.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
Strong foundational knowledge in Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
Familiarity with containers and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or YAML.
Understanding of version control systems like Git.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Basic experience with Red Hat OpenShift or similar Kubernetes platforms (e.g., EKS, GKE, AKS).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton).
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
Understanding of VMware or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
Awareness of DevSecOps practices and container security fundamentals.
