Infrastructure Analyst Relations

The AR team members are intellectually curious specialists in relationship development, with a deep understanding of the market domains and offering portfolios IBM serves. They act as coaches, facilitators, and program managers, orchestrating hundreds of analyst interactions, research activities, and the continuous information flow that drives our pursuit of delivering value return from industry analysts. Our team's backgrounds are diverse, yet our ambition remains singular: to foster harmonious relationships with analysts and IBMers, ensuring that our clients benefit from the technology and expertise IBM can deliver.
Your role and responsibilities
Skills
Effectively manages analyst RFI responses end-to-end.
Participates in projects with other team members to build AR skill set.
Knowledge
Established 101 knowledge of specific market and AR processes and best practices. Demonstrates understanding of specific IBM offerings and differentiation.
Leadership
Understands and participates in the planning process with team members for the market and portfolio of the team. Can proactively manage own tasks, own time and highlights areas where help is required to be accountable for delivering high quality, on-time work.

Knowledge
- Market: Understands and embraces the domain-specific market definition, key market forces and competitive landscape, and shows curiosity and interest in new and emerging trends and dynamics in the market.
- Analysts: Identifies and tracks the analysts who specialize in this market, segments these analysts into their relative importance and role in market, stays current on their research and opinion of IBM and competitive alternatives, and is up to speed on analyst firm policies and dynamics.
- Products: Knows what products, services and solutions we offer, their key features and competitive differentiation, and can articulate client benefits illustrated with client references and use cases.
- IBM: Can articulate the IBM strategy and key initiatives of the company at a high level and how their portfolio set fits and adds differentiating value in that overall context.
Skills
- Relationships: Builds and nurtures trusted and enduring relationships with analysts and IBMers of all personalities and work styles.
- Communicative: Articulate in spoken and written format in 1x1 and 1-to-many forums with analysts, senior executives, and experienced subject matter experts.
- Persuasive: Engages in healthy, informed dialog where opinions differ and are strongly held and does so in a way that helps others see another point of view while maintaining respect between all parties.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
