Your role and responsibilities

IBM Impact Role:
Giving and Volunteerism Program Manager


  • Manage IBM's Global Employee Impact giving and volunteer program to deliver consistent, high-impact volunteer experiences globally.
  • Develop and maintain toolkits, onboarding materials, and standardized procedures to support and scale volunteer coordination.
  • Drive the planning and execution of flagship campaigns including Month of Impact, Week of Impact,
  • Support volunteer engagement at tentpole and corporate events, ensuring seamless integration and meaningful participation.
  • Conduct program reviews to ensure program integrity and efficiency
  • Support IBM's Volunteer Champion Program, fostering a global network of employee champions to drive grassroots volunteerism and community engagement.
  • Develop onboarding, training, and engagement resources to equip champions with tools to lead local initiatives aligned with IBM's social impact goals.
  • Design and implement scalable toolkits, campaign assets, and communications to ensure consistent execution across geographies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and nonprofit partners to align with IBM's strategic focus areas, especially education and skilling.
  • Support the expansion of IBM's volunteer initiatives in education and skilling, including AI literacy and STEM mentoring
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful local programs globally, leveraging data, feedback, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Track and analyze program performance
  • Report on project progress against defined KPIs, providing regular status updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation, monitoring spending to ensure all projects are delivered within financial and strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate meetings, create agendas, record meeting minutes, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.

  • Create signature volunteer program aligned to IBM's broader skilling and education program
  • Cultivate partnerships to amplify impact.
  • Design and evaluate local engagement pilots, measuring outcomes and scale
  • Collaborate across business units to expand engagement strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and special projects related to programming and engagement

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong technical, organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a dynamic, matrixed and fast-paced environment.
