Systems Engineer - Enterprise Technology

Yesterday London, United Kingdom

Hudson River Trading is seeking an IT generalist with Python programming experience to join our Enterprise Engineering team. In this role, you will design, manage, and connect the core productivity services that help every HRTer go fast.

You will be responsible for ensuring tools like Slack, Google Workspace, and Okta – the chat, email, docs, and login services people need to get stuff done in a globally distributed company – work reliably and well with one another. You will also help manage a variety of key productivity services, including niche third-party products and internally-built platforms, tune them to perfection, build automation to minimize manual operations, and craft bespoke tools to fill in the gaps. We’re here to make all of these services work for HRTers while ensuring that the tools do the heavy lifting and stay out of the way.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure our core user platforms are intuitive, reliable, and a pleasure to use
  • Find, enhance, or build the best productivity and collaboration systems that allow HRTers to excel at their work
  • Lead and manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Build features HRT needs like SCIM, config management, and self-service interfaces
  • Manage user identities and access policies across a wide variety of internal and external systems
  • Glue a variety of in-house and third party systems together, customizing an ecosystem for HRT’s highly specific needs
  • Get things done in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Automate away toil
  • Go beyond self-service to enable “it already happened”-service
