ETF Trade Support Analyst
Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an ETF Trade Support Analyst to join our Business Development team in New York City. This role will support HRT’s Americas ETF business by assisting the sales trading desk with manual execution and ongoing client engagement. As a core member of the team, you will manage daily settlements for clients and broker dealers, ensuring seamless support from the moment trades are executed through clearing and post-trade.
This role offers broad exposure to trading across multiple asset classes and requires close, cross-functional collaboration with many teams at HRT. We are looking for an enthusiastic learner with a passion for technology and trading and a desire to make an immediate, tangible impact. The ideal candidate will thrive in a client-facing environment and leverage a strong background in ETFs to help drive the ongoing development of HRT’s trading platform.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily settlement needs for clients and broker/dealer relationships
- Oversee manual booking processes
- Work closely with internal HRT teams across clearing, post-trade, accounting, and business development
- Support sales trading desk with manual execution needs and ongoing client engagement
- Build tools and generate reports to improve operational efficiency, utilizing automation where applicable
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an operations or middle office settlements role; client-facing experience is a plus
- Proficient with Python, Unix, and Microsoft Excel
- Deep knowledge of various settlement processes and financial markets, with specialized expertise in ETFs
- FINRA Series 7, 57, 63, or willingness to obtain through HRT
- Excellent cross-functional written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
- Strong work ethic and a desire to see complex projects through from concept to completion
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Keen interest in technology and trading is mandatory

The estimated base salary range for this position is 150,000 - 200,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
