Utility Market Manager
The opportunity

As a Utility Market Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will lead go-to-market strategy across power generation, transmission, distribution, and smart grid solutions. You'll translate market intelligence into bold plans, open new doors with utility customers, and partner with sales, product, engineering, and marketing to deliver outcomes that matter. From building long-term relationships with industry decision-makers to crafting compelling business cases and representing us at key conferences, you'll be the voice of the customer and a catalyst for growth. How you'll make an impact
- Build and execute market strategies across utility segments.
- Discover trends and opportunities through deep research.
- Grow qualified pipeline and market share.
- Lead customer engagements and cultivate senior relationships.
- Orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver winning solutions.
- Develop tailored proposals, cases, and presentations.
- Track KPIs and provide clear, data-driven insights.
- Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events.
- Inform product roadmaps with customer and market feedback.
- Stay ahead of regulatory shifts and technology advancements.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your background
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related; Master's a plus.
- 7 minimum years in utility sector market management.
- 5 years minimum of leading a team of people.
- Expertise in generation, transmission, distribution, smart grids, renewables, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven record delivering growth through go-to-market strategy.
- Willing to travel up to 40%
- Strong analytics, communication, and stakeholder influence skills; effective independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Proficient with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft 365; willing to travel domestically and internationally.
