Work Location: Remote (except India)
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop and maintain standardized component requirements across global projects
- Collaborate with engineering teams to unify material specifications
- Define and drive material standardization for specifications and sizes
- Clarify global test methods for critical quality parameters
- Provide technical expertise to sourcing teams for supplier evaluation
- Support negotiations on technical requirements with suppliers
- Act as a technical guide for project teams on component engineering
- Stay current with advancements in component technologies and materials
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's in Material Science, Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering (Ph.D. with 2-3 years of experience also considered)
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience
- Experience in transformer industry and supplier technology development preferred
- Strong knowledge of component engineering and material specifications
- Familiarity with SAP S/4Hana and Windchill is a plus
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
