Transformer Internal Design Engineer
The opportunity
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. An Entry Level Professional (P1) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include: Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
How you'll make an impact
- The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team heavily specialized in Power Transformers design covering different countries.
- Responsible to perform internal design of the transformer including cleats and leads and or core, Active part and windings design according to factory limitation, guideline, and checklist.
- Will be part of a Global Engineering Centre team and your task is to contribute to the global design work with positive team atmosphere and networking.
- Responsible for development of transformer designs in coordination with global Hitachi Energy factory based on the purchase order requirement, ordering specification in different areas of transformer electrical design.
- Coordinating his order design activities within a worldwide factories network.
- Demonstrated team building and networking skills, would be a preference.
- A team player, open with information and willingly contributes to team discussions with an ability to work without supervision when required.
- Participation in internal design concept reviews.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 - 7 years' experience working in internal design for Power Transformers.
- Candidates with higher experience also to be considered. Experience in order designs,
- Knowledge on CAD software, 3D Modeling software like Creo would be advantageous.
- Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
- Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
- Additional languages knowledge is considered an advantage.
- Quick learner with ability to master new areas
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
