Tendering senior professional
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Tendering Senior Professional to lead and manage the development of comprehensive and competitive bids for complex projects, ensuring alignment with Hitachi's strategic objectives and client requirements.
Your role:
Lead and manage the end-to-end tendering process for large-scale projects, from initial inquiry to contract award.
Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and other tender documents to understand client requirements, scope of work, and commercial terms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, sales, legal, finance, and project management teams, to gather necessary information and develop winning strategies.
Develop detailed tender proposals, including technical solutions, commercial offers, project schedules, and risk assessments.
Ensure all tender submissions are compliant with client specifications, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct thorough cost analysis, value engineering, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
Prepare and present tender proposals to clients, addressing queries and negotiating terms as required.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with tender submissions.
Maintain accurate records of all tender activities and outcomes.
Mentor and guide junior tendering professionals.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tendering, proposals, or bids management, preferably within a multinational engineering or technology company.
Proven track record of successfully securing complex, high-value projects.
Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly and concisely.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages relevant to Hitachi's global operations is a plus.
