Technical Project Management Manager
The opportunity:
We are looking for a result-oriented Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technical projects across global manufacturing, digital transformation, and industrial IT. The role plans, organizes, and controls resources, procedures, schedules, budgets, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle. It requires advanced technical project management knowledge, strong manufacturing insight, and the ability to translate shop-floor processes into scalable digital workflows. The successful candidate will work independently with limited supervision, provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams, and coordinate factory, business, infrastructure, and vendor stakeholders to deliver sustainable Manufacturing Execution System (MES) outcomes across international manufacturing sites.
How you'll make an impact:
- Lead end-to-end MES implementations, from requirements and solution planning through integration, readiness, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, milestones, and status reports.
- Monitor delivery against approved scope, milestones, budgets, quality standards, and expected business outcomes; initiate corrective action when required.
- Conduct risk and dependency analysis, manage mitigation actions, and provide clear technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
- Analyze and document business and technical requirements by liaising with manufacturing users, subject-matter experts, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
- Translate shop-floor and manufacturing processes into scalable digital workflows aligned with broader digital manufacturing objectives.
- Manage collaboration across global factories, vendors, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and manufacturing operations to support delivery and adoption.
- Integrate vendor activities into the project plan where applicable, and track, review, and ensure the quality of vendor deliverables.
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality standards and complete the required reviews, approvals, testing, and readiness checks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, while demonstrating safety, integrity, and accountability.
Your background:
- 15+ years of global experience in IT project or program management across manufacturing, digital transformation, and industrial IT.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end MES and/or ECS implementations in international manufacturing environments.
- Strong manufacturing subject matter expertise and understanding of shop-floor operations, production processes, quality, and deployment readiness.
- Advanced project and program management capability, including planning, scheduling, estimation, resource management, budget control, risk management, governance, and executive status reporting.
- Hands-on experience in requirements engineering and business analysis, including stakeholder workshops, process analysis, specification, traceability, validation, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with integration readiness, UAT planning and execution, go-live preparation, cutover, hypercare, and operational handover.
- Good understanding of digital manufacturing, machine connectivity, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) concepts and dependencies.
- Experience with relevant tools and platforms used for project delivery, requirements, collaboration, reporting, and manufacturing solution implementation.
- Proven leadership in coordinating cross-functional factory, business, vendor, infrastructure, and technical teams across regions and cultures.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage difficult and sometimes complex issues independently.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, quality, standardization, and scalable delivery practices.
- Advanced education and relevant work experience
- Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages and experience working in global organizations are an advantage.
