Supplier Quality Inspector
As the Supplier Quality Inspector, based in Vaesteras (SE) or Vaasa (FI), you have a key role by being responsible to perform inspections at Suppliers to ensure the equipment is manufactured according to the requirements. Work tasks are split between operational site visits to suppliers, performing inspections, and traveling. Strategic tasks as part of the department and different project teams for you to give input, report on findings, and work with other stakeholders both internal and external in preparation of and feedback about inspections.

How you'll make an impact
- Understand the contract, specifications, budget, scope and other relevant project documentation related to the different types of equipment in the scope of the Electrical Substation projects.
- Participate and be a decisive team player in the coordination meetings where inspections are distributed within the Supplier Quality Inspector.
- Perform inspections in line with the time schedule and the different contractual milestones, producing the inspection reports according to the project requirements.
- You care about delivering quality to the Customer and are not afraid to highlight the Customer's needs to the supplier to provide the best solution to the Customer.
- Identify, estimate and report cost savings or cost avoidance based on outcome of the inspections.
- Engage and support the stakeholders in the usage of the appropriate database for tracking supplier inspections and punch items.
- Ensure all relevant documentation and punch items are correctly registered in the appropriate database.
- Supervise the Suppliers in the completion of the Inspection and Test Records and punch items on a regular basis based on the scope.
- Raise deviations when deemed relevant based on punches.
- Takes part in completions meetings with customer, supplier, and Hitachi personnel and provide leadership on the actions assigned.
Your background
- Technical / Engineering / Quality management education or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience with electrical substation equipment is considered an advantage.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation and reporting.
- Ability to build sustainable relationships with suppliers, customers and project stakeholders through clear communication, influencing and coordination.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize your workload and thrive in a highly autonomous environment.
- English fluency (written and spoken).
- Willingness and availability to travel as part of the role (up to approximately 50% depending on project needs).
