The opportunity
We are searching for a highly motivated Strategic Buyer to join our dynamic and fast-paced work environment. As a Strategic Buyer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a key role in driving our sourcing and supplier management activities while supporting our continued growth in Landskrona. You will join a dynamic team of 15 colleagues and report to the Procurement Manager. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing activities for your categories and suppliers, ensuring cost-efficient and reliable solutions. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success. Our office is in Landskrona, just a 30-minute train ride from Malmö.

• Develop and optimize the supply base with a focus on delivery, quality, and total cost.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers in partnership with quality and engineering teams.
• Lead supplier performance evaluations and drive improvement initiatives.
• Manage RFQs, tenders, and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Handle contracting processes (NDA, frame agreements, general terms) in line with business directives.
• Lead, own and deliver cost improvement initiatives
• Take ownership of SCM-related topics to support business objectives.

• A degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication and networking skills, combined with strong problem-solving ability.
• High sense of ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
• Fluency in English and Swedish is required.
• Experience with SAP and manufacturing industries is advantageous, and a genuine interest in technology will help you succeed in this role.
