Sr. Power System Simulation Study Engineer

The opportunity:

We are seeking a Power System Application Engineer with background in electrical engineering and expertise in simulation and power quality studies to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable Grid by conducting power system studies, simulations, and calculations for power supply Grid integration projects in Renewables, Data Centre and industrial sectors. Your expertise will be instrumental in conceptualizing and optimizing solutions, ensuring the right equipment's sizing and grid compliance. As an integral member of our global center of engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous growth of our organization.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Conducting power system studies like Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Power Quality (Power factor & Harmonics Analysis), Arc Flash studies using different power system modeling software's.
  • Perform sizing calculations and analyze data to conceptualize effective solutions with available products, for meeting power system challenges.
  • Understanding the Grid performance requirements and compliance for various Grids and grid codes. Ensure compliance with Customer's specifications and requirements.
  • Interact with customers and various internal stakeholders including sales, tendering, R&D, Product Specialists.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote teams to enhance communication and coordination in project.
  • Engineering support for tenders and projects in various segments such as Industrial, Renewables, Data Centre and Transportation sectors.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, specialization in Power system and power electronics; Power Quality know-how is preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of working experience as a Power System/Power quality Engineer, Project Technical engineer or similar position.
  • Good understanding of High, Medium and Low voltage AC and DC Electrical distribution systems, AC & DC system modelling.
  • Experience in conducting power system studies and calculations (e.g. Load flows, short circuits, Reactive power flow, harmonics analysis, Design optimization, reliability & availability, Opex and Capex and offering power Quality solutions)
  • Strong Analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in English both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.
