The opportunity

The Wired Communication Network (WCN) business within our Service Unit is becoming an increasingly important pillar of the global Grid Automation portfolio. As a Senior Telecom Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of wired communication networks within our service departments. You will take ownership of Advanced Services, Service Level Agreements and Training for WCN, working closely with key internal stakeholders to drive service excellence and customer value.

How you'll make an impact
• Take responsibility for shaping the future direction of wired communication networks (WCN) within our service departments
• Define and develop advanced services in close collaboration with Product Managers of Telecom Products
• Keep customers' installed base up to date by promoting and managing sustainable Software Upgrade solutions
• Collaborate with other units to expand and grow WCN-related services
• Support, strengthen and guide our WCN Sales Team with your technical expertise
• Contribute to building a shared vision for WCN across Service Units in the HUB and globally
• Conduct regular service reviews with customers and stakeholders, providing feedback, performance insights and improvement plans to senior management and customers

Your background
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering
• In-depth understanding of communication systems
• Good understanding of MPLS concepts and related technologies
• Strong knowledge of FOX51x / FOX61x Multiplexers (or similar products) and fiber-optic technologies (SDH/PDH/MPLS), telephony (PABX/VoIP) and data networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
• Solid experience working with Linux operating systems (e.g., RedHat)
• Well-developed presentation and communication skills
• Very good command of English and German; French is an asset
