Senior Cost and Value Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost & Value Engineer to drive measurable cost reduction and value creation across our hardware portfolio. In this strategic role, you will influence key design, sourcing, and industrialization decisions, ensuring optimal product value without compromising performance, quality, or compliance.
Working cross-functionally with R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality, you will play a critical role in embedding cost efficiency early in the product lifecycle and delivering sustainable business impact.
What You Will Do
- Lead cost and value engineering initiatives across new product development and existing portfolio
- Analyze and optimize cost drivers across system, subsystem, and component levels (BOM, design, sourcing, manufacturing)
- Influence hardware design decisions through active participation in design reviews and trade-off analyses
- Drive cost reduction through design improvements while maintaining performance, quality, and compliance
- Collaborate with suppliers and supply chain teams to identify cost-effective sourcing strategies
- Support manufacturability and industrialization by applying DFM/DFA principles
- Develop business cases, track savings, and ensure transparent reporting of cost improvements
- Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and lifecycle cost optimization

What We Are Looking For
- Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of experience in hardware development, cost engineering, value engineering, or industrialization
- Strong knowledge of BOM structures, cost modeling, and target costing methodologies
- Proven ability to influence design decisions and work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset, and structured approach to work
- Experience with regulated or safety-critical products is a plus
