  • Provide expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, legal, project management, finance) on contractual matters, obligations, and interpretation.
  • Oversee and manage contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing potential breaches or disputes proactively.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to develop and refine contract templates, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage contract amendments, renewals, and terminations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Conduct regular contract performance reviews and provide reporting to senior management on contract status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external parties regarding contractual issues.
  • Train and mentor junior contract managers and other staff on contract best practices.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legal and regulatory changes impacting contractual agreements.

Background:

  • Legal qualification and contract law expertise, such as a Law Degree (LLB), Solicitor qualification, or equivalent legal/commercial credentials, with a strong understanding of commercial, procurement, and contract law.
  • Proven experience managing the full contract lifecycle, including negotiation, drafting, review, execution, amendments, renewals, and termination of complex commercial contracts.
  • Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms while balancing business objectives and risk exposure.
  • Expert knowledge of contract risk management and compliance, including identifying, mitigating, and resolving contractual issues, disputes, and potential breaches.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide trusted contractual guidance to senior leaders, legal teams, project managers, finance, procurement, and sales functions.
