SCM Specialist
The Opportunity

As a SCM Specialist, you will become part of a strong team responsible for strategic sourcing within Grid Automation Products in Västerås.
You will play a key role in driving and coordinating strategic procurement activities together with suppliers of direct materials.
The role involves supplier selection, supplier development, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the procurement function through process enhancements. You will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Product Development, Material Planning, Manufacturing, and Operational Procurement.
During your onboarding period, you will be supported by an experienced mentor who will help you build the necessary knowledge and competencies before taking full ownership of your responsibilities.

How you'll make an impact:
- Managing long-term relationships with one or more key suppliers, with a focus on quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
- Driving activities that secure both short-term and long-term solutions related to direct material suppliers, including quality and delivery disruptions.
- Participating in contract and price negotiations in both local and global environments.
- Contributing to the development of the global sourcing strategy together with local and global Supply Chain organizations.
- Supporting supplier selection and supplier development initiatives.
- Driving continuous improvement and procurement process enhancement activities.
- Working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Product Development, Manufacturing, Material Planning, and Operational Procurement teams.

Your Background
- 2-3 years of professional experience from working within sourcing, with a strong desire to continue developing and take on new challenges.
- Post-secondary degree, or higher, in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or Procurement / Supply Chain Management
- A structured and responsible way of working, with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Strong curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Enjoy working in project-based environments and collaborating with people from different functions, educational backgrounds, and cultures.
- Ambition to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility over time.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, as the role involves working in a global organization with international suppliers.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills are considered an advantage.
