SCM Senior - Material Compliance

The Supplier/Contractor Qualification Specialist is responsible for evaluating and ensuring that suppliers and contractors meet the company's standards, quality management systems, and other similar requirements.

This role involves conducting external audits of supplier facilities and processes, assessing supplier capabilities, and collaborating with suppliers to improve their processes.

This process is vital for maintaining the integrity and reliability of our suppliers, ensuring they meet the high standards required for the successful operations of our business.

Main Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:

  • Lead the supplier and contractor qualification process.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and audits of potential suppliers and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain qualification criteria and standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance.
  • Manage supplier risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure all documentation and records are accurate and up to date.

Requirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in supplier qualification or procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier evaluation and audit processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Desirable

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Experience with international suppliers and contractors.
