The opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Research Team Manager. You will be responsible for leading our multidisciplinary 'Semiconductor Packaging & Reliability Engineering' research team in Baden-Dättwil (Switzerland), part of the Central European Hitachi Energy Research Center.

- Set clear goals and priorities for the team, ensuring alignment with the overall research strategy
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and innovation, supporting your team in staying at the forefront of technological advancements
- Recruit and mentor team members, facilitate their professional growth, and guide project leaders to deliver successful research and development initiatives
You are impactful:
- Foster the creation of new research project proposals and strategic research initiatives
- Contribute to an innovative and motivating working environment
You foster collaboration:
- Maintain and extend an excellent network to relevant business units and
leading universities - Promote collaboration between all Hitachi Energy Research Centers
You contribute:
- Contribute to research projects and pre-studies with your own scientific expertise
- Oversee different research laboratories, including safety
Your background
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: power electronics, reliability, semiconductor packaging, and an interest in emerging research and technology fields
- Several years of experience and proven track record in industrial R&D
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is an advantage
