The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy's global R&D community as an R&D Senior Engineer and contribute to shaping the future of high-voltage power systems. In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of oil-insulated instrument transformers, supporting reliable and sustainable energy infrastructure worldwide. Working in a collaborative, international environment, you will combine technical expertise with innovation to deliver high-impact solutions while continuously growing your skills within a dynamic engineering ecosystem.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Design and enhance oil-insulated high-voltage instrument transformers, including current, voltage, inductive, and combined types
- Provide technical support to global production and service teams, ensuring timely issue resolution and continuous improvement
- Lead small to medium scale product development projects, managing undirect resources, scope, timing, cost, and quality for assigned tasks
- Develop and maintain engineering tools, supporting users and improving design and process efficiency
- Analyze product performance data to drive design enhancements and innovation initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to align on technical solutions and project goals
- Coordinate stakeholders and ensure effective knowledge sharing across the organization
- Maintain high standards of documentation, technical communication, and engineering practices

Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design and testing of medium or high-voltage equipment (preferably instrument transformers)
- Strong knowledge of oil insulation technology for high-voltage applications
- Experience with CAD/3D modeling tools (e.g., PTC Creo) and PLM systems (preferably Windchill)
- Strong organizational, coordination, and basic project management skills
- Fluent in English and Polish, with excellent communication and documentation abilities
