Quality Engineer - Bushings
The Opportunity
Manufacturing Quality Assurance work includes: Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a manufactured material, component, or product. Building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products. Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods A Senior Para-Professional (S35) requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities may include: Most of problems are not routine and require analysis to understand. Works under very limited supervision. Provides assistance, training and may also delegate and review the work of lower employees.
How you'll make an impact
- Develops and implements quality assurance strategies and plans to enhance production quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Establishes standards and specifications for manufacturing/assembly processes. Provides internal reporting on quality assurance activities, progress & outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilizes data-driven insights to drive/contribute decision-making and implement necessary process improvements. Lead MSA, SPC, 7QC tools in shop floor.
- Conducts training programs and workshops to promote quality awareness to develop the skills of manufacturing personnel.
- Collaborates with manufacturing teams to address customer-specific quality requirements. Assist in analyzing customer feedback and identifying areas for improvement. Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving product quality through manufacturing/assembly process improvements.
- Participates in development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to mitigate process risks. Conducts process audits and inspections to verify compliance with process risk mitigation measures.
- Conducts comprehensive risk assessments for manufacturing/assembly processes to identify potential risks by performing activities like failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA).
- Implements quality control measures and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards. conducts inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Analyzes process performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions for enhanced process performance. Participates in process improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Maintain process performance documentation and support implementation of statistical process control techniques. Provides training and guidance on process performance monitoring and improvement to manufacturing personnel.
- Conducts root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to identify and resolve quality issues in manufacturing and assembly processes. Utilize techniques such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and statistical analysis to determine the underlying causes of quality problems.
- Coordination of Quality management systems (QMS) for entire Quality department of Bushing factory. Preparing the SOP's, Departmental manuals, Quality Plan, Data Sheets, Work Instructions, Management procedures, MRM, Documentation etc.
- Awareness to drive COPQ, Test failure investigation, TNPS, RCA.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Bachelor's degree in engineering / Diploma in Engineering. Preferred Electrical /Mechanical Engineering.
- Min. 3 to 8 years of overall experience in similar positions.
- Relevant experience in Quality & Testing process for bushing or any transformers.
- Experience in Bushings or transformers will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
- Ability to work independently and as well as in a team.
