Quality Control GIS Line Unit Supervisor (F/M/D)

The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control GIS Line Unit Supervisor to lead and oversee the testing processes within our Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) production line. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality standards are met for all products leaving our facility.

How you'll make an impact:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Quality Control testing GIS Line Unit team, including technicians and inspectors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for GIS production, in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot quality issues, investigate root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Utilize and interpret various testing equipment and methodologies relevant to GIS systems (e.g., partial discharge tests, high voltage tests, pressure tests,mechanical test).
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality to optimize quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
• Train and mentor team members on quality control techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Prepare and analyze quality reports, metrics, and trends to identify areas for improvement and report findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the quality control unit.
• Participate in customer audits and support resolution of customer complaints related to product quality.

Your background:

• High School Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the power transmission and distribution industry.
• Proven experience with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) technology and relevant quality standards (e.g., IEC).
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments.
• Good in Italian and English (written and spoken) is required.
