Quality Calibration and Testing Engineer

The opportunity:

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of tools and equipment through regular calibration and testing. The role involves maintaining compliance with industry standards, optimizing processes, and providing technical support to enhance quality and efficiency.

How you will make an impact:

• You will perform regular calibration of tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 17025.
• You will maintain comprehensive records of calibration activities, including certificates and logs, ensuring traceability and visibility of equipment status.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, identify opportunities for process optimization and participate in initiatives to enhance calibration efficiency and quality.
• You will provide technical support and guidance on calibration procedures and best practices, assisting in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• You will support the Test Manager in product and system testing, preparing standard test records and completing test documentation, conduct functional testing and verification activities for systems, subsystems, or products, ensuring quality and timely implementation within targeted costs.
• You will assist with customer communication and official contacts related to test assignments or meetings, utilize standard processes and tools to support risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in calibration within a manufacturing environment, with a preference for experience in Power Transformers.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Technical expertise in calibration procedures and techniques, with a sound understanding of engineering processes and tools.
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to workplace safety guidelines. High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
