Purchasing Specialist

The Opportunity:We are looking for a Purchasing specialist who will be responsible for the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services required for HITACHI ENERGY VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED's operations, ensuring on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

How you'll make an impact:

• You will process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• You will manage purchase orders from creation to closure, including order placement, expediting, and discrepancy resolution.
• You will communicate regularly with suppliers to track order status, resolve issues, and build strong working relationships.
• You will negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
• You will collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, logistics, engineering) to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
• You will monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
• You will identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
• You will maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in the ERP system and support inventory management activities as required.

Your background:

• You hold bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with 2-3 years of experience in procurement or operational buying, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, inventory control, and purchasing best practices.
• Hands-on experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms to support procurement activities.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese (written and spoken), with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
