The opportunity

Due to our continuous growth, we are hiring a Project Manager in the Automation department. This department oversees the delivery of various sub-systems of an HVDC transmission system, including the overall SCADA system, AC substation Control & Protection, and communication systems, including Cyber Security and Telecom equipment.
How you'll make an impact
- Manage the automation part of HVDC projects from the tender stage to delivery completion
- Lead a team of engineers from the automation department, representing different technical disciplines
- Ensure effective interaction, coordination, and information flow between all project stakeholders
- Manage multiple contracts with customers and suppliers
- Collaborate closely with project directors, controllers, planners, peer project managers, supply chain managers and contract managers to manage the project and periodically report and present status and progress in review sessions

- Up to 30% travel is required
Your background
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or automation
- Proven experience as a technically proficient project manager or commercially proficient project engineer
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in projects within the energy sector, preferably in substations, FACTS, or HVDC
- Strong business acumen, comfortable with customer meetings and technical negotiations, with a keen understanding of contracts and a strong sense of responsibility for safety and business ethics
- Passion for people and technology. You thrive on working with people and understand that successful project delivery depends on your team's ability to function and collaborate in a dynamic, constantly changing environment
- Proficient and fluent in English, as you will be part of an international setting where communication with people from all over the world is essential
