Project Lead Engineer - Substation Automation, Control & Protection

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Project Lead Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering activities across medium to high-complexity Grid Automation projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective execution of engineering deliverables while meeting contractual requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
This position requires approximately 25% travel.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Serve as the technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables across multiple disciplines.
- Develop base designs for substation automation, control, and protection systems.
- Verify the implementation of base designs during detailed engineering phases.
- Coordinate all technical activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Review and approve technical documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Collaborate closely with customers to define, shape, and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Identify, assess, and manage technical and cross-functional project risks.
- Support project management with engineering budget monitoring, forecasting, and cost-to-complete assessments
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in substation automation, protection, and control systems.
- Native-level Spanish proficiency is required. English proficiency at C1 level or higher is required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
