Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.
We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

How you'll make an impact
- You will be working on basic design for substations such as single line diagram, equipment specification, rating, capacity, environmental condition, protection system (IED), monitoring and control system (SCADA, IEC61850), DC and auxiliary power supply, power quality product (STATCOM etc.) and technical clarification with customer, factory, 3rd party etc.
- You need to work on detailed design by checking each equipment drawing, checking cable connection from schematic and logic drawings, checking input/output, external communication and clarification/communication with customers.
- You will do technical support as such technical presentation during pre-sales activity, technical reporting internal/ external, technical communication for factory/sub-supplier, quality clarification and witness testing at factory and customer site, any other external communication for 3rd party.
- You will investigate and introduction of new technologies and product into Japan market.
- You will do comparison and evaluation of IEC and Japanese standard to introduce Hitachi Energy product into Japan market.
- You will do clarification and communication with customers.

Your background
- You hold a bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- Work experience in the power electronics industrial area is preferred.
- Knowledge of power grid industry and business aspect, equipment and configuration, protection relay, substation monitoring and control system.
- Knowledge of documentation and drawing related to power grid system, JEC, JEM, JIS standard and IEC standard, electrical business act and related regulation, protection and automated control system for substation.
- Understand mechanical drawing and electrical schematic diagram.
- Experience of electrical fault calculations and protection coordination, engineering for power grid facilities, basic design and detailed engineering for substation, electrical fault calculations and protection coordination.
- Experience in submitting documentation for METI and/or power utility company, using ETAP or any other fault calculation SW is advantage, business communication with Japanese industrial customers, business communication with domestic and overseas suppliers.
- Capability of pressure self-management, mind of work as a team.
- Certificate and license related to electrical systems and/or engineering are advantages.
- Fluent speaking, writing and reading in Japanese.
- Proficiency in business level in verbal and written English.
