Project Engineer

The opportunity

For our Business Unit High Voltage based in Lodi we are looking for a Project Engineer who will focus on high voltage switchgears. This role is responsible for design assignments cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification. Contribute to design reviews and design verification, modify design as necessary;
  • Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities. Prepare project documentation within one's scope of deliverables;
  • Assist in preparing proposal of engineering projects (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.);
  • Support Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.). Provide quality solutions as per customer requirements and deliver within budget and contract. Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks;
  • Create work plans in own area of responsibility and ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improve effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions;
  • Assist customers on technical issues, interact with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Assist communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings;
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers. Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals, and accept as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services;
  • Use standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility. Ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Report processes and tools inefficiencies and suggest improvements ideas-

Your background:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Technical Diploma;
  • >3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Fluency in English and Italian;
  • Good knowledge of CREO (or similar design tools);
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus;

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

  • Starting from: 38000 €

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
