How you'll make an impact
- Lead the project team by establishing clear guidelines, allocating responsibilities, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to achieve project milestones.
- Provide constructive performance feedback on resources assigned to the project.
- Work closely with the Project Controls function to establish project plans, including scope, financial, scheduling, and risk management plans.
- Manage and supervise site activities from mobilization through project completion, ensuring that construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor daily site progress and take corrective action to address delays, resource constraints, and other site-related issues.
- Coordinate site manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources to achieve project objectives.
- Review and approve work plans, method statements, and site procedures.
- Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, financial performance, invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow.
- Identify, assess, quantify, and manage project risks and opportunities, ensuring that appropriate actions and mitigation measures are implemented.
- Ensure that contractual, quality, schedule, and cost-related issues are properly managed and resolved.
- Manage contract and claims activities in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to procure the services, materials, and equipment required for successful project delivery.
- Support supplier negotiations and the management of claims, variations, and project changes.
- Lead the formal project acceptance and close-out process in line with contractual requirements and customer expectations.
- Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project to support continuous improvement.
- Serve as the key contact for customers and act as an escalation point for project-related issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Bachelor's degree or higher; a degree in electrical power engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in the electrical power engineering industry.
- Proven project management experience, including responsibility for project scope, schedules, financial performance, risks, contracts, and stakeholders.
- Experience managing site activities, including construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Experience with new-build projects in the semiconductor industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin within an international project management environment.
- Strong customer-handling and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to think clearly and act systematically.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to engage and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
- Hands-on, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required by project and site needs.
