Production Engineering Manager

The opportunity

As the manager of the Production Engineering team at the Grid Automation (GA) business unit, Automation and Communication Products, you will have an exciting leadership role together with the production engineering team. You will be faced with a growing business, significant investments into new production technologies and automation, and a move to a greenfield new factory and warehouse in 2027. These are very exciting times. Your factory is integral in supplying industrial electronics products to the entire world, which unlock even larger sales volumes for our parent business unit.

You will be a part of the management team of the GA products operating unit in Vasteras, syncing production engineering with the release of new products, new IT, new robotics and automation technologies, and growing volumes of our business. The Vasteras operating unit is the lead unit for protection and control products, which means that your work is replicated across factories world-wide, especially in India.

Your responsibilities:

Manage the production engineering team. Plan and balance workload across your team members.

Drive continuous improvement towards world-class production and logistics systems and processes, including but not restricted to lean manufacturing, design-for-X, digitalization, automation, robotization, safety, ergonomics, quality and productivity.

Engage and act as the factory representative in new product introduction projects and releases. Support manufacturing capacity planning to match growth plans (for example, floorspace management, material handling, production line design, test system design, warehouse design).

Maintain production equipment and orchestrate capex planning for new equipment.

Align with the IT/OT, MES and ERP teams to ensure state-of-the art system deployment across three factories (the Vasteras factory being the lead factory).

Be integral in production test system design across three factories.

Your background:

Bachelor degree or higher within in a technical field

At least five years experience within industrial electronics manufacturing, testing or supply chain

Experience of and willingness to operate in multi-cultural and multi-national business

Passionate about leading people

Fluent in English. Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.
