Product Manager

The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you'll make an impact

1.You will monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and product performance, and provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to support product strategy development.
2.You will drive the promotion and commercialization of new products and solutions, including Compact Cool, HiDry, Digital, Hydrogen, and other strategic offerings.
3.You will support R&D, Technology Transfer (ToT), product optimization, and cost reduction initiatives to enhance product competitiveness and business performance.
4.You will conduct product benchmarking and facilitate cross-factory best practice sharing to improve product portfolio competitiveness.
5.You will maintain and update product positioning matrices, product strategies, and product roadmaps to support portfolio development.
6.You will provide product training, technical support, and value proposition materials to Sales, Marketing, Field Service Engineers (FSE), and customers.
7.You will collaborate with R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to ensure successful product and project execution.
8.You will support customer visits, branding activities, innovation programs, and other strategic factory initiatives.

9. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1.Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, 2.Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, technical support, or the power equipment industry.

3.Good understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, competitive analysis, and product promotion.

4.Strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

5.Strong business acumen and market insight with the ability to conduct market research and product planning independently.

6.Excellent communication, presentation, training, and customer engagement skills.

7.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
