Process Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing processes within our organization. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across production lines.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Develop and execute strategies for process optimization, including lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for process efficiency, quality, and cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Generate comprehensive reports and presentations on process performance and improvement initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in process engineering.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving significant results.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
Experience with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
