Opex Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and implement operational excellence strategies and programs (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) across Hitachi's operations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost optimization through data analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
Manage and facilitate cross-functional improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
Train and mentor employees on Opex methodologies and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and quality, to align Opex initiatives with business objectives.
Prepare and present reports on Opex project status, achievements, and future recommendations to senior management.
Develop the roadmap and annual implementation plan for building an excellent-level smart factory; establish the smart factory governance mechanism and cross-functional collaboration system; and drive the achievement of the excellent-level smart factory construction objectives.
Work with all centers, business units, and relevant functional departments to define annual targets and assessment mechanisms for operational cost reduction; proactively drive relevant departments to organize and implement operational excellence cost-reduction initiatives; and ensure cost-reduction requirements are completed as planned.
Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards in operational excellence.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or a related field within a manufacturing or large-scale operational environment.
Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing Opex initiatives with demonstrable impact on business results.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
Excellent project management, change management, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Experience with a global manufacturing company is a plus.
