Market Analyst -Gulf & Near East

The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Market Analyst - Gulf & Near East to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research and analysis to support Hitachi Energy's strategic decision-making and business development within these key territories.

How you'll make an impact

• Conducting comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, competitive landscapes, and customer needs within the Gulf and Near East energy sectors.
• Analyzing market data, economic indicators, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to Hitachi Energy's product portfolio (e.g., power grids, renewable energy, automation).
• Preparing detailed market reports, presentations, and forecasts to inform business strategies, product development, sales targets, and investment decisions.
• Monitoring competitor activities, market share, and strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Identifying and evaluating potential new markets, customer segments, and business models within the region.
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, product management, and engineering teams to align market insights with business objectives.
• Supporting the development of business cases and strategic plans for market entry or expansion initiatives.
• Maintaining and updating market intelligence databases and tools.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in market analysis, business intelligence, or strategic planning, preferably within the energy, industrial, or technology sectors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Gulf and Near East markets, including economic, political, and cultural nuances.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software, BI platforms).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required, and fluency of the Arabic is a plus
