Job Summary

As the Manager Site Management BNL, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all site management activities within Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg (BNL) for Hitachi Energy. This role involves ensuring the successful execution of projects, optimizing site operations, and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for site management operations across BNL, aligning with Hitachi Energy's overall business objectives. Forecast resource needs, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.

Project Execution & Oversight: Direct and manage multiple site teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
*
Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of site managers and site personnel. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong teamwork. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
*
Operational Excellence: Optimize site processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices in site management, including lean principles and digital tools, where applicable.
*
Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and Hitachi Energy's internal safety policies. Implement robust quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship on all projects.
*
Financial Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
*
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., project managers, sales, engineering) and external stakeholders (e.g., customers, subcontractors, regulatory bodies). Act as the primary point of contact for site-related matters in BNL.
*
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all site activities comply with relevant local and international regulations. Prepare and present regular reports on site performance, project status, and key metrics to senior management.
*
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve complex site-related issues, demonstrating strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or similar), Project Management, or a related technical field.
*
Experience: Relevante experience in site management, project management, or construction management within the energy, power transmission, or heavy industrial sectors.
*
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power transmission and distribution systems, substation construction, and relevant electrical and mechanical installations. Familiarity with specific Hitachi Energy products and solutions is a plus.
*
Leadership & Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
*
Safety & Quality Focus: Demonstrated commitment to HSE excellence and a thorough understanding of relevant safety standards and quality management systems.
*
Language Skills: Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
*
Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, and occasionally internationally, as required by project demands.
